AI essay rewriter

What an AI essay rewriter actually does

An essay rewriter looks at the whole document, not one sentence or one paragraph in isolation. Feed it a full draft and it works on where your thesis sits, whether each paragraph builds on the last, and whether the conclusion does anything more than repeat the introduction with different words.

It's a server tool: your essay goes to our AI server to be restructured, not processed locally. You get 5 free runs every 24 hours on a rolling window, nothing to sign up for. That's a different job from a sentence rewriter or a paragraph rewriter, both of which stay inside one small unit of the text instead of the whole shape of it.

The problem

Why AI-drafted essays all read the same

Ask several models for an essay on the same prompt and they hand back the same skeleton: an intro that previews three points, three symmetrical body paragraphs, a conclusion that just restates the opening. A reader who has seen this shape a dozen times spots it again fast.

The preview intro
An opening paragraph that lists exactly what each body paragraph will say, so nothing later is actually a surprise.
Topic sentences that just rephrase the prompt
Each paragraph opens by restating the assignment instead of making a claim it then has to back up.
Same-shaped paragraphs
Three body paragraphs, near-identical length, each running claim, example, wrap-up in the same order.
A conclusion that only lists
A final paragraph that repeats what was already said rather than telling the reader what it adds up to.

How it works

How to rewrite an essay with AI in three steps

It's a full-draft pass, so there's nothing to break into pieces beforehand.

Step 1
Paste the whole essay, intro and conclusion included. A partial draft gives the tool a thinner argument to work with, so more text means a better result. Each run covers up to about 12,000 characters, close to 2,000 words, so a longer essay needs to be split and run through in sections.
Step 2
Hit Rewrite. Your essay goes to our AI server, gets restructured, and comes back in seconds.
Step 3
Compare it to your original and check your thesis and evidence landed where you meant them. Runs left in your 24-hour window show on the button.

Why it matters

What weak essay structure actually costs you

A teacher, an editor, a hiring manager reading a cover letter, all of them read structure before they read sentences. A conclusion that just restates the thesis says the argument never went anywhere past the opening claim. Paragraphs that could be shuffled into any order say nothing in the middle actually built on what came before.

A flat grade or feedback
Graders flag structure problems even when every sentence is technically fine.
A skimmed cover letter
A hiring manager reading dozens of these drops the ones that read like a template.
A pitch nobody finishes
A proposal with symmetrical, interchangeable sections reads as filler padded to length.

The cause

Why the five-paragraph shape is so hard to shake

Models are trained on huge amounts of exactly this structure, since the five-paragraph essay is the most-taught, most-written shape there is. Given an open prompt, a model reaches for the pattern it's seen the most: three points, one paragraph each, a restated close. It's the safe answer, which is exactly what makes it recognisable.

The rewriter's job is to break that symmetry: fold a weak paragraph into a stronger one, move evidence to where the argument actually needs it, and rebuild the conclusion so it concludes something instead of listing it back.

Straight answer

Does this make my essay undetectable?

No, and we won't dress that up. We don't test this tool against AI detectors, don't tune it to beat any specific one, and can't tell you what a detector will report afterward. We don't control those tools and can't predict their output.

What restructuring reliably delivers is an essay where paragraphs build on each other and the ending says something new. That's worth having on its own, detection aside. Be wary of any tool, ours included, that claims to guarantee a detector result.

In practice

Who uses the essay rewriter, and when

It shows up across a lot of different kinds of full-length drafts, wherever the whole argument needs work, not just a paragraph of it.

Students
Strengthening an AI-assisted or self-written draft before a deadline, subject entirely to whatever their school's own policy allows.
Job seekers
Restructuring a personal statement or cover letter so it reads as an argument, not a template with names swapped in.
Writers on a deadline
Running a long report, proposal or pitch through a structural pass before it goes out.
FAQ

Everything answered. AI essay rewriter, frequently asked

How do I rewrite an essay with AI?

Paste the full essay above and hit Rewrite. It restructures paragraph order, topic sentences and the conclusion while keeping your thesis, and returns a result in seconds.

Is the AI essay rewriter free?

Yes: 5 free runs every 24 hours, no account required.

Is my essay stored anywhere?

It's sent to our AI server to be rewritten and sent back. It isn't used to train models. Don't paste anything you wouldn't send over a network.

Will this bypass an AI detector?

That's not a claim we make. We don't test against detectors and can't predict what one reports, so we won't promise a result on a tool we don't control.

Does it change my thesis?

It shouldn't. It reorders paragraphs and reworks topic sentences and the conclusion, not your claim or your evidence. Read the result before you submit anything.

How is this different from the paragraph rewriter?

The paragraph rewriter works inside one paragraph's order and flow. The essay rewriter works on the whole document: paragraph sequence, how much the intro gives away, whether the conclusion adds anything.

How is this different from the paraphraser?

The paraphraser restates someone else's passage in different words and still needs a citation. The essay rewriter restructures your own draft's argument, not a quoted source.

Can I use it for academic work?

Your school or program sets that policy, not us, check with them before you submit anything.

Does it handle long essays?

Up to a limit: about 2,000 words, 12,000 characters, per run. A longer thesis chapter or dissertation section needs to be split and rewritten piece by piece, with each piece using one of your 5 runs for the day.

Does it work on any essay topic?

Yes. It works on structure rather than subject matter, so a history essay and a personal statement get the same treatment.

Why does my conclusion look almost the same after rewriting?

If it already added something past the opening claim, there's less to change. That's expected.

Why does the rewrite still feel a little flat?

It fixes order and topic sentences, not thin evidence or a weak thesis. That part is still on you to strengthen.

Does it work on ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini drafts?

Yes, on any text regardless of which model or person drafted it.

Does it also clean hidden characters?

No, that's a separate job. Run the text cleaner first if formatting or hidden Unicode is also a concern.

Is there a batch tool or an API?

Not yet. Essays run through one at a time, within your daily allowance.

What happens after I use all 5 runs?

You'll see when your next run opens up. It resets 24 hours after the run that used it, nothing to sign up for.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, fully, in any modern mobile browser.

Should I run it twice on the same essay?

Not usually. A second pass over an already-rewritten essay tends to erode the argument rather than sharpen it.

Does it support languages other than English?

It's built and tested mainly for English. Other languages may work, but quality isn't held to the same standard.

Can I paste just an outline?

You can, but the rewriter needs full sentences to actually reorder. An outline gives it very little to work with.

Does it keep my quotes and citations attached correctly?

It should keep quotes near the point they support, but check them after a rewrite. Citation formatting isn't something it verifies.
