Claude style analyzer

What the Claude style analyzer reports back

Paste a draft and the Claude style analyzer tells you how it reads. Register, sentence variety, the constructions that keep recurring, the point where one section stops sounding like the one before it. The answer comes back as written analysis, not as a row of scores.

It is a server tool. Your text goes to our AI server, is analysed there and comes back. Five free runs every 24 hours on a rolling window, up to 12,000 characters each, no account to make.

Before you run it

Get a better analysis out of one run

You have five runs a day, so it is worth spending twenty seconds setting one up properly.

Paste enough text
A few hundred words minimum. Three sentences do not contain a pattern to describe.
Paste real sections, not an outline
Bullet fragments have no sentence rhythm, so half the analysis has nothing to work with.
Ask one question in the instruction box
Compare the first half to the second. Or: does this match a technical audience. Narrow beats general.
Strip the markup first
If you copied from an Artifact, run the strip HTML tool first so tags are not part of what gets read.
Know what you will change
An analysis you do not act on costs a run and produces nothing. Fix one thing per pass.

How it works

How to analyze Claude writing style in three steps

Three moves, and the third is the one people skip.

Step 1
Paste up to 12,000 characters of the actual draft, not a summary of it.
Step 2
Add an instruction if you have a specific question, up to 300 characters, then run it.
Step 3
Pick the single biggest finding and rewrite for that one thing before you run it again.

The angles

What a style analysis looks at

It is written for your text rather than filled into a template, so emphasis follows what is notable. These are the recurring angles.

Register
How formal the writing is, and whether it holds that level the whole way through.
Sentence variety
Whether lengths move or settle into one rhythm. The most visible AI habit in a long draft.
Repetition
Openers, connectives and constructions used often enough that a reader starts hearing them.
Tone drift
The paragraph that reads like a different writer, which is usually a seam between two sessions.
Audience fit
Whether the vocabulary matches the reader the text appears to be written for.

What it will not do

What this analyzer does not give you

Most tools on this search return numbers. This one does not, and it is better to know that now.

No readability score
No Flesch-Kincaid, no Gunning-fog, no grade level. If you need a number for a requirement, use a readability calculator.
No word frequency table
No counts, no word cloud, no lexical density figure and no parts-of-speech breakdown.
No passive-voice tagging
It may mention passive constructions in prose. It does not highlight them in your text.
No grammar or spelling check
Correctness is a different job. A clean text can still get a critical style analysis.
No authorship verdict
Style is not evidence of who wrote something, and this tool will not pretend otherwise.

The unlimited option

The repeatable style check that costs no runs

If you want something you can run on every draft without spending an allowance, the watermark scanner flags 17 named writing patterns and highlights each one where it appears: the scene-setting opener, the empty hedge, the formal connector, the overused verb, the hype adjective, the negation pivot and the rest.

It runs in your browser, uploads nothing and has no limit. Use it for the mechanical tells, and save these five runs for the judgement calls a pattern list cannot make.

In practice

Who uses the Claude style analyzer, and when

Usually at the point where a draft is finished and something about it still feels off.

Writers
Checking a draft against the voice they meant to write in, before an editor names it for them.
Content teams
Keeping a set of pages sounding like one publication instead of six contributors.
Marketers
Confirming a landing page still sounds like the brand after three rounds of AI-assisted edits.
Students
Finding where their own voice slipped, within whatever their institution allows.
FAQ

Everything answered. Claude style analyzer, frequently asked

How do I analyze the writing style of Claude text?

Paste it above and run it. You get a written assessment of register, sentence variety, repetition and tone drift.

Is the Claude style analyzer free?

Yes, five free runs every 24 hours, no account required.

How much can I paste in one run?

Up to 12,000 characters, about two thousand words. The minimum is one character.

Do I get a readability score?

No. No grade level and no readability index. The result is prose analysis.

Does it count my most used words?

No word frequency table and no word cloud. It describes repetition in sentences instead.

Can I control what it focuses on?

Yes, with the optional 300-character instruction box. A narrow question gets a far better answer.

Is my text sent anywhere?

Yes, to our AI server, which is where the analysis happens. Keep confidential material out of it.

Will it rewrite my draft?

No. It describes, it does not edit. Use a rewriter if you want changes made.

Can it prove my text was written by AI?

No, and nothing can. It reports observable signals in the writing, which is not the same as authorship.

Does it check grammar?

No. Style and correctness are different jobs and this one is style.

How is this different from the tone analyzer?

Tone is one part of style. This covers sentence shape, repetition and consistency as well.

Why was my analysis so short?

Short input, short output. Give it several paragraphs so there is a pattern to describe.

Will I get the same result twice?

Broadly the same findings, differently worded. It is a model reading your text, not a formula.

Is there a free unlimited alternative?

The watermark scanner flags 17 named writing patterns locally, with no limit and no upload.

Does it work on ChatGPT or Gemini drafts?

Yes. It reads the text, so which model produced it does not matter.

Does it handle other languages?

English is what it is tested for. Other languages often work, without the same quality standard.

What happens when my five runs are used?

The button shows when the next opens. The window rolls, so one returns 24 hours after each run.

Is there an API or batch mode?

No. One submission at a time.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes, identically in any modern mobile browser.

Can I use it on coursework?

That depends on your institution's policy on AI assistance. Check it first.

Should I strip formatting before pasting?

Yes if you copied markup from an Artifact. Tags read as noise and waste part of the analysis.
