DeepSeek space remover
What the DeepSeek space remover does
This app deletes every space character in text copied from DeepSeek, reasoning trace or final answer, and returns one continuous string. Ordinary spaces, tabs, line breaks, the full-width ideographic space and the hidden Unicode spaces DeepSeek's rendering can leave behind are all stripped in the same pass.
It runs on your device. Paste, press the button, copy the result. Nothing you paste is uploaded, and there is no cap on how much text you run through it.
Why it happens
Why DeepSeek text mixes more than one kind of space
DeepSeek's tokeniser shares one vocabulary across Chinese and English, so an answer that moves between scripts, or between a visible reasoning trace and a final answer, is a natural place for the space character to change type. Text written mostly in Chinese commonly uses the full-width ideographic space instead of the ordinary space bar character.
DeepSeek's chat interface also renders a reply as rich text before you copy it, the same step that, across most assistants, can substitute a non-breaking space to hold visible indentation.
A single sentence can end up carrying both space types at once: an English clause followed by a Chinese clause in the same paragraph, each contributing the space character native to its own script, with nothing visible to tell you where one ends and the other begins.
Worked example
What a mixed-space DeepSeek sentence looks like underneath
A short bilingual answer, a term in English followed by its Chinese equivalent in the same line, can paste with an ordinary space before the English word and a full-width space before the Chinese one, both rendering as a gap of roughly similar width on screen.
Run that through a tool expecting only U+0020 and one of the two gaps is invisible to it: it will find the ordinary space and miss the full-width one entirely, which is exactly the kind of partial fix this tool is built to avoid.
Workflow
How to remove spaces from DeepSeek text in three steps
Nothing to configure.
- Step 1
- Copy the reply, reasoning trace or final answer, and paste it into the box.
- Step 2
- Press Remove spaces. It runs instantly, on your device.
- Step 3
- Copy the result.
What comes out
Which space characters this app removes
A dedicated remover beats find-and-replace because the space bar produces one character, while several others render as a gap and survive a search for a normal space.
- Regular spaces
- The standard space bar character, U+0020.
- Ideographic space
- The full-width space common in DeepSeek's Chinese output.
- Non-breaking spaces
- Common wherever the chat interface's rendering needed to hold indentation.
- Tabs and line breaks
- Tab characters, carriage returns and newlines.
- Unicode spaces
- Thin and hair spaces sometimes left behind at formatting boundaries.
Why it matters
What stray spaces in DeepSeek output actually break
A term copied from a bilingual answer with a full-width space instead of an ordinary one fails a lookup in a translation memory or term base expecting standard whitespace. A slug built from a DeepSeek-written heading resolves to the wrong address.
In data exports, a mixed-width space inside a value silently breaks a join that should have matched, since the two strings only look identical.
A search box built to match on ordinary whitespace can also fail silently against a full-width space, returning no results for a query that a human reader would say obviously matches the text in front of them.
Who it's for
Who uses the DeepSeek space remover, and when
Translation teams use it when a DeepSeek answer mixes full-width and ordinary spaces, since the mismatch is easy to miss visually and breaks an automated lookup every time.
Developers pulling identifiers or sample values out of DeepSeek's output use it before pasting into code, and anyone building slugs or keys from DeepSeek-drafted headings uses it because those fields reject spaces outright.
