The job

What the Llama space remover does to your text

Paste text, run it, and every whitespace character comes out. Spaces, tabs, carriage returns, line feeds and the Unicode space characters you cannot type are all removed together. The result is one continuous string with no gaps anywhere in it.

That is a deliberate design, not an oversight, and it decides whether this tool belongs in your workflow. It is the right step when whitespace is the defect. It is the wrong step when you still want readable paragraphs at the end.

Use it for
Keys, hashes, tokens, identifiers and any value that must contain no whitespace at all.
Do not use it for
Prose you intend to keep reading, because the paragraphs will not survive.
Where it runs
In your browser. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored and there is no run limit.

Choose correctly

Remove all spaces or collapse extra spaces: pick first

Space tools split into two families and the search results mix them together under one label. Deciding which one you need before you paste saves you undoing a result afterwards.

This page is the delete-everything family. If you paste a three-paragraph draft expecting tidier spacing, you will get a single unreadable line and it will be exactly what the tool promised.

Delete everything
What this tool does. No whitespace remains, line structure included.
Collapse repeats
Turns runs of spaces into one and keeps line breaks. Not what happens here.
Trim edges
Removes leading and trailing space per line. Also not what happens here.

How to

How to remove spaces from Llama text in three steps

The whole loop is three actions and there is nothing to configure between them.

Step 1
Paste the text. There is no character cap, so long passages are fine.
Step 2
Run it. The output box fills immediately, and your original stays in the input box for comparison.
Step 3
Copy the result and check it before you use it, because the line breaks are gone as well as the spaces.

Coverage

Which invisible space characters this removes

The whitespace class the engine uses is wider than the space bar, which is the part that actually helps. Most spacing bugs in pasted text come from spaces you cannot type and cannot see.

U+00A0
No-break space. Identical on screen to an ordinary space and a routine cause of broken wrapping and failed matches.
U+2000 to U+200A
The typographic set, including en space, em space, thin space and hair space.
U+202F and U+205F
Narrow no-break space and medium mathematical space, both common around numbers and symbols.
U+3000 and U+1680
Ideographic space and Ogham space mark.
U+2028 and U+2029
Line and paragraph separators, which survive many other cleanup passes.
U+FEFF
A byte-order mark sitting inside a document rather than at the start of it.

Known gap

Two characters this tool will not remove

The zero-width space at U+200B and the soft hyphen at U+00AD are not whitespace, so they pass through untouched. Both are common in text that has been through a chat interface and a word processor, and both cause the symptoms people bring to a space remover.

If your text still fails a comparison after every space is gone, one of those two is the usual culprit. The hidden character tools on this site cover them. Chaining the two passes is a normal workflow and takes about ten seconds.

Cost

What broken spacing actually breaks downstream

A no-break space in a URL slug produces a link that goes nowhere. A tab dropped into pasted tabular data shifts every column after it. A line break inside a copied key gets the key rejected with an error message that says nothing about whitespace.

The shared feature is invisibility. The text looks right, the system disagrees, and you spend ten minutes retyping a value that was correct apart from one character that never rendered.

The cause

Why spacing arrives damaged in the first place

Spacing damage tracks the copy path rather than the model. A passage that moved from a chat window into a document, then a spreadsheet cell, then a web form, collects something at every stop.

Rendered interfaces use non-breaking spaces to control layout. Word processors swap in typographic spaces around punctuation. PDF extraction breaks lines where the page ended rather than where the sentence did. What arrives in your clipboard is a record of that journey.

Llama in the tool name describes the text people usually arrive with, not a tuned code path. The same substitution is applied to every input regardless of origin.

In practice

Who uses the Llama space remover, and when

Developers normalising a value before comparing it. Support staff cleaning a licence key a customer pasted out of an email. Analysts flattening an identifier column that picked up stray tabs on the way into a sheet.

In each case the person already knows whitespace is the fault and wants it gone completely. That certainty is what makes a tool with no options the right shape for the job.

FAQ

Everything answered. Working with the Llama space remover

How do I remove spaces from Llama text?

Paste it, run the tool, copy the result. Every whitespace character is deleted, including tabs and line breaks.

Is the Llama space remover free?

Yes. No account, no card, no daily cap on how often you run it.

Does my text leave my browser?

No. The operation happens locally in the page. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.

Does it remove extra spaces or all spaces?

All of them. It does not collapse repeats into a single space, it deletes every one.

Will my paragraphs survive?

No. Line breaks are whitespace and go with everything else, so the output is a single continuous line.

Can I keep line breaks and remove only spaces?

Not with this tool. It has no options, and the behaviour is all or nothing by design.

Does it handle tabs?

Yes. Tabs are removed along with spaces, line breaks and the Unicode space characters.

Does it catch no-break spaces?

Yes. U+00A0 is covered, which matters because it is indistinguishable from a normal space on screen.

Does it remove zero-width spaces?

No. U+200B is not whitespace and passes through untouched. Use the zero-width space remover for that pass.

Does it remove soft hyphens?

No. U+00AD is left in place, for the same reason. It is not classed as whitespace.

Is there a character limit?

No. The input has no cap, and since the work is local there is no request size to hit.

Can I upload a text file?

No. The tool takes pasted text only. There is no file upload.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. It is a web page with two text boxes and no install step.

Is it optimised for Llama specifically?

No. The same operation applies to every input. The name reflects the text people usually bring, not a special path.

Can I run it on source code?

Only where indentation carries no meaning. It will break Python, YAML and Makefiles outright.

Does it alter anything other than whitespace?

No. Letters, digits, punctuation and emoji are returned exactly as pasted.

Why does my text still fail a comparison?

Almost always an invisible character that is not whitespace. Zero-width space and soft hyphen are the two that survive this tool.

Is there an API or a batch mode?

No. It is a single paste-and-run box, with no batch upload and no public API.

Can I undo a run?

Your original stays in the input box, so nothing is lost. Copy from there if the result is not what you wanted.

How is this different from a whitespace minifier?

A minifier reduces runs of whitespace to a single space and keeps the text readable. This one removes whitespace entirely.

Do I need to sign up?

No. There is no account, no email capture and no signup anywhere on this tool.

Is the result stored anywhere?

No. It exists in the output box in your browser and nowhere else. Closing the tab ends it.
